Before and during a chat
Keep financial, identity, address, workplace, and account credentials private until you have independently assessed trust.
- Never send money, gift cards, crypto, passwords, one-time codes, or identity documents.
- Block and report pressure, scams, threats, impersonation, or inappropriate media.
Meeting in person
Meet in a public place, control your transportation, tell a trusted person, keep your phone charged, and leave if you feel unsafe.
